Why A Fundraiser?

Burke County Dollars for Scholars program is a locally operated and supported non-profit, tax exempt scholarship foundation located in Burke County, North Dakota. It includes the school districts of Bowbells and Burke Central Schools. Our mission is to expand access to educational opportunities by involving and assisting our community in the support of students and encourage their educational achievement. Recipients of the scholarship are community members of Bowbells, Flaxton, Lignite, Portal, and Columbus. Burke County Dollars for Scholars is a chapter affiliate of Scholarship America, a nationally recognized non-profit student aid service organization.
