Presently, there are no consistent plans to address the sustainability of America's river reservoirs. These reservoirs provide numerous benefits such as flood control, recreation, and water supply to our taps. The Missouri Sedimentation Action Coalition, a 501c3 based in Yankton, South Dakota, looks to change that. Currently, MSAC is sparking stakeholders to collaborate on producing a sediment management plan for the watershed behind Gavin's Point Dam on the Mighty Missouri. All the Missouri River reservoirs and numerous tributary confluences are experiencing sedimentation. This fundraiser will assist MSAC in meeting its general expenses to draw focus to this problem facing the Mighty Missouri reservoirs and watersheds.
